Abstract preparation guidelines

Authors are requested to prepare their abstract using the official MIWRS 2027 Abstract Template. Abstracts should be concise, clearly structured, and relevant to one of the symposium’s scientific themes or special sessions.

Each abstract should clearly address the following elements:

  • Background / motivation
  • Objectives
  • Methods
  • Key results
  • Conclusions / significance

Formatting requirements

Abstracts must follow the official formatting requirements:

  • Maximum length: 300 words
  • Language: English only
  • No figures, tables, or references
  • Abbreviations must be defined at first use
  • Use the official Abstract Template
  • Font: Calibri 12 pt
  • Line spacing: 1.15
  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

Keywords

Authors should provide 3–6 keywords, separated by semicolons. Keywords should reflect the geographic scope, scientific domain, and methodological approach of the submitted work.

Presentation formats

Oral presentations

Oral presentations are expected to last 15 minutes, including 12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for questions and discussion. Presentations should be prepared in PowerPoint or PDF format, 16:9 aspect ratio.

Poster presentations

Posters should be prepared in A0 portrait format. A digital PDF version may be requested for the e-poster gallery.

Review process

All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by at least two members of the Scientific Committee. Authors will be notified of the outcome of the review process by email. Acceptance may be for oral presentation, poster presentation, revision request, or rejection.

Acceptance of an abstract is conditional on at least one author registering for the Symposium.
